The current HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College Auctioneering class, instructed by Charlene Caple, will hold their Student Auction Sunday November 23 at Cordier Auctions & Appraisals in Harrisburg. Nineteen students from all over the state are currently enrolled in HACC’s Auctioneering program from as far away as the Northeastern part of the state.
The student auction is included in each class’s curriculum to provide students with experience in all facets of auction execution. Students had their first experience on the auction block selling apple pies at the National Apple Harvest Festival in Arendtsville, PA in October to benefit Donate Life.
On November 17th the class will be selling a variety of items including sports memorabilia, beer taps and lighted mirrors and signs, crocks, post cards, jewelry, artwork, milk bottles, coins, tools, books, clocks, furniture, and other collectibles and household items.
The auction, open to the public, will be held at Cordier Auctions & Appraisals, 1500 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA 17104. The preview begins at 11 am and the auction begins at 1 pm.
