Harrisburg Regional Chamber/CREDC Business Expo

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth at the 2015 Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce/CREDC Business Expo at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex on November 12. And congratulations to out "Guess the Value" Winner, Kera Daily of Aspire Fit.

Kera correctly guessed the auction estimate for the Tiffany studios table lamp with grapevine pattern shade and lily pad base at $12,000! Kera has won $100 in Cordier Auction bucks to use at any of our future auctions.

Hemlock Historians Appraisal Clinic

November 1, 2015

The The Hemlock Historians of Perry County hosted an appraisal clinic fund raiser on November 1, 2015 in Blaine featuring Melanie Hartman of Cordier Auctions & Appraisals in Harrisburg. Proceeds from the clinic will be used to purchase historical markers in Perry County.

More than 25 individuals attended, with notable items including a Hubley Fido Pup On Pillow Doorstop appraised at $172-225 and a Ulrick Ambroise watercolor appraised at $100-200. For more information about the Hemlock Historians, contact Bobbie Stevenson at dogwoodfarmsr @ gmail.com

Cordier Auctions at Kiwanis of Hershey Appraisal Clinic

The Kiwanis Club of Hershey-Hummelstownhosted an appraisal clinic fund raiser on October 25, 2015 in Hummelstown featuring David Cordier of Cordier Auctions & Appraisals in Harrisburg.

More than 20 individuals attended, with notable items including a Peerless Ice Cream maker salesman's sample which was appraised at $300-400; a 14 inch tall German Santa candy container appraised at $400-600; and a multi-colored gold-filled pocket watch appraised at $200-300. The Kiwanis Club of Hershey/Hummelstown is a community service organization serving the children and communities of Hershey and Hummelstown, and the children and communities of the World. Cordier Auctions and Appraisals was one of one hundred exibutors at the West Shore Chamber of Commerce's 65th Annual Business and Industry Night on October 1, 2015.  The annunal event is held at the Radisson Harrisburg in Camp Hill, PA. 

Salvation Army Shoe Strut Sponsored aby Cordier Auctions and Appraisals

Cordier Auctions and Appraisals was one of the sponsors of the Salvation Army Harrisburg's Shoe Strut on September 11, 2015.  The goal of the annual event is to provide shoes to needy children in the area.  For each ticket sold, a pair of shoes is provided to a local child.  Additionally, fashion

Harrisburg Symphony Showhouse and Gardens Raises $180,000

Lindenwood, A Country Destination, The Harrisburg Symphony Society's Showhouse and Gardens 2015 reaised $180,000 to support the inspiring symphonic concerts and educational programs for which HSO is  known.

More than 30 designers participated in the Showhouse and Gardens.  Cordier Auctions and Appraisals partnered with the Cumberland County Historical Society to decoprate the foyer and hallway for the event which ran from May 22 through June 14, 2015.

GLOW RUN LIGHTENS UP HARRISBURG

A team from Cordier Auctions and Appraisals was excited to be part of the second annual Glow Run benefiting Lighten Up Harrisburg in Riverfront Park on June 6.

Cordier Auctions and Appraisals was one of the event sponsors, and a team of ten walkers and runners, in addition to event volunteers, came to enjoy the event and support the cause.  The family of Brian Buehrle, a member of Cordier's staff and an apprentice auctioneer, led Team Cordier Auction in the race with his wife Anabelle coming in with a time of 33.14; Brian and his daughter Bella both came in with times of 33.17.  The race was followed by an after party that included music, snacks, and ice cream.

More than 400 participants registered for the The 5 K walk/run which raised funds for lighting projects in the City of Harrisburg.  Past projects include the Walnut Street Bridge relighting project, Allison Hill area lighting project, and Front Street lighting project.

17th Annual Visions of Monte Carlo a Great Success

Cordier Auctions & Appraisals' Brian Buehrle was auctioneer at the Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania's 17th Annual Visions of Monte Carlo Gala and benefit Auction.  The April 24th event raised proceeds to help fund services to those in our community who are blind or visually impaired.

HISTORIC HARRISBURG ASSOCIATION CHARITY AUCTION RAISES OVER $10,000

April 12, 2015

An auction held at Cordier Auctions that benefitted the Historic Harrisburg Association on April 12 raised more than $10,000.

 Highlights included a Currier & Ives National Union Republican Banner, printed in 1868 which sold for $1,200, two architectural elements from the former Harrisburg Telegraph Building that sold for $400, and a pair of brass end caps from the former state theater that sold for $225.  More than 60 individuals and companies donated items, money, time, and refreshments for the event.

 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Historic Harrisburg Association, whose mission is to advance sustainable communities, neighborhoods, and landmarks through education, advocacy, collaboration on issues of economic development, architectural and historic preservation, and cultural heritage tourism.  Cordier Auctions donated the use of their facility and auctioneers at 1500 Paxton Street in Harrisburg.  An auction committee of volunteers also put in countless hours to organize and execute the event.
